Who is behind this website and why was it created?

I have always loved The Secret Circle as a book series, in fact it was my favo(u)rite L.J. Smith trilogy. Cassie and Adam's story of love, selflessness and the triangle with Diana always spoke to me. When I heard The C.W. had the rights to the books I was skeptical. When I heard that Kevin Williamson was going to be involved, I found hope after the amazing work he did with The Vampire Diaries. I'm not expecting the series to be the same as the books, but as long as they retain the main elements, especially those between Adam & Cassie, I'll be happy.
